Join a Dance Class TODAY at Anglo Dance Studios Bournemouth

Anglo Dance Studios aims to provide a wide selection of dance styles for children and adults.

Anglo Adult Beginner Classes aim to give you a good basic knowledge of dance so that you can relax and have fun when a dance comes up, or  go on holiday, be it a weekend break or a special cruise celebration and join in with confidence knowing that you have been well taught by experienced teachers. We also train couples for party and wedding first dance celebrations.

Many couples enjoy our classes so much they progress to improver classes and dancing is a very important part of their lives as it opens a huge social scene, wonderful fitness benefits and an excuse for wearing a new outfit!

Our beginner classes cover Cha Cha, Jive, Salsa. Tango, Waltz, Quickstep, American Smooth our Improver classes introduce Samba, Slow Foxtrot, snazzy moves and style tips on the dances covered on the beginner classes.

We aim to work on one dance for 3 – 4 weeks before progressing to another step or dance and in this way you are not switching too quickly from different dances which can be confusing when you first start to learn. We try to make our classes stress free and enjoyable- it’s a good feeling when couples say how much they look forward to our classes and book our beginner party nights in their diaries.

Junior Classes
We recommend that very young children start on our baby ballet classes which cover basic balance and an introduction to movement to music in small group classes. They can then continue with ballet or transfer to Disco, Latin and Ballroom classes.
From 5 years of age we recommend our Junior Saturday Club which gives a wonderful introduction to dance including Street/Disco, Latin, Jive, Salsa and Strictly Come Dancing Ballroom
Anglo Dance disco, street and hip-hop classes cover all the moves used in today’s pop videos. We try to keep the dancing as clean and simple and concentrate on learning the steps/moves first and then working them into a routine. These classes are for children and young adults and help improve fitness and co-ordination (See health benefits). We warm up before dancing to minimise the risk of injury but do ask that you notify us of any existing injury before the class so we can avoid movements that aggravate it. We also cool down at the end of the class so you can go away feeling good and without aching.

Children are given the option of working towards competitions, shows and displays. They can also work for I.S.T.D. medallist exams or equivalent from all classes. See Juniors class info.
